Territory

Gavi, this is a territory where human and vine intertwine in a bond whose beginning is remembered and the end is not seen.
Piona is an historic hamlet in the territory of Cortese di Gavi, a stone’s throw from the Gavi’s city centre where peace and quiet allow you to enjoy a 360 degree view surronded by nature, between vines and brooms in a particular favourable position to the sun and the sea wind.
The cultivator of vines is carried out respecting their natural rhythms, since nature already has all the credentials in it to get the best from its fruits. All he work in the vineyards is carried out manually: pruning, tying and especially grapes are harvested by hands in boxes ready to be transported quickly to the cellar. Therefore, the result is a quality product.

Passion

Camilla e Silvana are the owners of Piona , in this Piedmont’s area where the relationship with the vine has marked popular culture. They want to trasform their passion into a young , feminine company with a well rooted philosophy in which modernity and tradition are linked.

They have many projects and, with patience, dedication and unhurried, they are usre that all fixed objectives will be achieved.

The attention to every detail of the entire production is taken care by producer, from the vineyard to the bottle.

In addition, such attention to details, it allows them to see and feel the changes that occur every day in plants’ nature but also in the natural wine’s evolution.

Our wines.

Our Wines

The choice to apply a natural and traditional technology distinguishes the continuous search for a high quality product, with the minimum environmental impact, either in the cellar even in the vineyard. This is what makes the Piona’s wines unique and recognisable.
